Deleting your data, and what each act removes
Three acts, from the narrowest to the widest, what each one takes and what survives it.
There are three, in Settings, listed from the narrowest to the widest. Each one asks you to type a different phrase by hand, because a click can be a slip of the mouse and two of the three cannot be undone by anyone, including us.
Delete some of my sessions
Sessions of the modes you pick, over the dates you pick. Everything else stays: your other sessions, your account, your settings and your connector.
This one was asked for by a trader who wanted a journal cleared of simulator and replay noise without losing the live record. Live is last in the list on purpose: it is the one choice on that screen that destroys a record of real money.
Immediate, and there is no undo. Your connector keeps working, and the sessions you delete are marked so its next restart cannot upload them back. That marker is a one way fingerprint: the trade cannot be read back out of it.
Delete my trading data
Every session and everything worked out from them. Your account, your password and your settings stay.
Immediate, and there is no undo. Your connector is cut off in the same act: its pairing is revoked, so its next upload is refused. Stop it or uninstall it, because if you leave it running it keeps trying and nothing arrives.
Your dashboard goes back to the way it looked on your first day. To start sending again, pair a new connector on the setup page.
Delete my account
Everything above, and the account itself. This one waits 30 days.
Nothing is deleted the day you press it. Your connector is cut off immediately, your account becomes invisible to everyone else, and the only page you can open is the one that calls it off. Sign back in before the date and press Keep my account and everything comes back except the connector pairing, which you create again on the setup page.
No reminder is sent. Calling it off is something you do by signing in, so put the date somewhere you will see it.
Deleting your account does not remove you from your course. If you open the product from your course again afterwards, your school sends your name and address again and a new, empty account is created.
What survives any of them, and why it is listed
The screen prints this before you confirm, and it is worth reading rather than skipping, because a promise of "all of it" would be a promise that cannot be kept:
- Backup copies of the database taken before today, kept outside the product so it can be rebuilt after a disaster. Nothing here is ever restored from one, and they have no automatic expiry.
- What was already sent to the model provider that writes your analysis. That sits on their schedule rather than ours. Your name and your address are never sent with it, though whatever you typed into the chat went as you typed it.
- The hosting provider's request logs, which are outside our software.
- Anonymous shapes of your trades already written into other traders' saved briefs. Those are somebody else's page and are not rewritten.
- The record of what your use of the model cost, with your sessions' names removed from it.
Support tickets
A ticket and what was written on it are kept for 365 days after it closes, then the content is deleted and only the count is kept.
If you want something deleted that none of the three acts reaches, ask in a ticket and say what it is. Being told that the answer is no is better than assuming that the answer was yes.
